BNP Standing Committee members met the party Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan residence tonight.
After the meeting, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told reporters that the BNP chairperson will fly to London on Tuesday night (January 7) for treatment.
The meeting was attended by Standing Committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Zamir Uddin Sarkar, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Salahuddin Ahmed, Selima Rahman, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, and AZM Zahid Hossain.
Earlier in the evening, LDP President and former minister Col (retd) Oli Ahmed Bir Bikram visited Khaleda Zia at her residence.
Oli Ahmed arrived at 7:15pm and held a 30-minute meeting with the BNP chief.
During the meeting, Oli Ahmed exchanged greetings with Khaleda Zia and inquired about her health.
